Intelligent Computing is one of the high-tech trends of modern computer science. It provides methods and tools for building complex learning systems, able to adapt and evolve as well as to act in an intelligent way what was so far reserved for human beings. Our „Intelligent Computing” project, carried out by the consortium of 3 Polish and 16 research institutions from all around the world, provided PhD students with a unique opportunity to conduct research under the supervision of leading scientists and prepare their PhD dissertations in one of the most innovative fields of science. The project has resulted in both new theoretical findings concerning the foundations of Intelligent Computing and in novel applications in the areas of multi-agent technologies, data analysis and mining, decision support systems and other. There were 15 PhD students working within the project, who had been selected in a careful recruitment process. They were receiving attractive scholarships.
