Recruitment
We are looking for a candidate to carry out the research project no. 2 (see the project's Web page). The recruitment procedure consists of two stages:
- submission of applications by candidates (deadline: already passed),
- interviews with the candidates selected in the first stage (April 26, 2012).
Second stage – interview
The best candidates, with the highest scores earned in the first stage, will be invited to the second stage - an interview carried out by the Recruitment Commission.
The candidates are encouraged to contact, prior to the interviews, the supervisor, Prof. Bednarczyk.
- The interview will comprise:
- A brief self-introduction of the candidate, with emphasis on his/her research interests and results of previous research work (including the content of his/her MSc thesis).
- A short presentation of his/her interests and motivation to carry out research on the topic indicated in this Call. Self-introduction and short presentation of the interest and motivation should be planned for 15-25 minutes altogether.
- A questions and answers session, during which the candidate will be interrogated on the issues relevant to the selected research topics and the scientific discipline.
- Interviews will have to be attended by at least two candidates.
- Interviews will take place at the premises of the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences, 01-447 Warszawa, 6 Newelska street, Poland, and the candidates will have to participate in person. A PC and a video projector will be available. In some exceptional and well-justified cases, the candidate might be allowed to be interviewed remotely, during a teleconference.
- Interviews will be carried out in English.
- During the interviews the candidates will be requested to present the hard copies of all documents submitted during the first stage of the recruitment.
- Final decision on the admittance of a candidate to the project will be based upon:
- results of the interview,
- opinion of the research topic supervisor,
- scores obtained at the first stage.

The successful candidate will have to simultaneously enroll to a special track of the PhD Studies carried out at the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences.
She or he will be provided with scholarships (3000 PLN and 4500 PLN during the stay in Poland and abroad, respectively + 500 PLN for social security) for 3 years or until they defend their PhD theses! She or he will spend at least 6 months with foreign partners - leading academic institutions in Europe and beyond!
